Mum & Daughter

Donna popped into the studio last weekend to get her picture taken with her daughter Stacey. As they haven't viewed yet here is a sneak preview of 2 of their pictures.

The Maxwells

Juliet booked us to shoot an updated family portrait, how little did she realise that this shot was going to be on display throughout the village as Averil had decided to update the window, boy was she shocked (and a little bit proud me thinks) to find themselves in the window.

Thanks.

Holly

I just love it when I get the pick of the portrait sessions (does help when Averil is still off on maternity leave), Holly was a photographers dream to shoot, enough attitude to bring out her character.

Here are some images as a taster.

Family Portraits

Rather than post each individual session I have decided to join a few of our more recent family session together.

The first of these sessions are Ellie & Katie, we now have photographed them a few times, in fact Ellie is on our shop front sign, her little cousin Katie was first photographed as a newborn.

Here are an image of each of them that we love.

The next family session saw brother & sister Blair & Alexis pop in for a surprise present for their parents.

Here is our favourite.

We then had a mammoth task of photographing 7 grand children and 1 great grand child.

Allie's 3rd Cherubs

Well another 3rd Cherubs comes around, feels like it wasn't that long since we shot Allie's 1st Cherubs. For her last one mum & dad decided to get in on the act for a nice relaxed family portrait.

Here are 2 of my family favourites.

Callum

Now that I'm catching up with some of our back log, here is my favourite image from Callums not so recent shoot.

Ayrshire Family Portrait Competition

It's been a while since we ran our Family Portrait competition in the Ayrshire Post, Kilmarnock Standard, Irvine Herald and Cumnock Chronicle. The response was great and we had fun photographing all involved. Below is the picture of our winners, Irene & Ron Currie picking up there prize from me.

Scottish MPA Cherubs Folio Photographer of the year 2009!

Well we've done it again! We are delighted to announce yet more Scottish Master Photographer Association awards, this time in Cherubs Photography. Alasdair was crowned Cherubs Folio Photographer of the year only just beating his wife Averil who scooped the second place as well as a third place. Cherubs photography is a very important part of their photography business and with Averil winning Scottish Cherubs Photographer of the Year in 2007 and Alasdair winning Scottish Under Fives photographer of the year 2008 this now establishes them as two of Scotland's leading baby photographers.

"Baby photography has always been one of my passions and to receive two awards in a year where I have been taking some time away from the business on maternity leave makes it all the more satisfying. My only complaint is that I was beaten by Alasdair!!! Only joking of course, the healthy competition between us is a great recipe for a successful, progressive business."

Alasdair and Averil proudly displaying their certificates.

The beautiful babies who helped us to achieve success:-

Alasdair's winning folio.

Averil's 2nd place.

Averil's 3rd place.

Alasdair and Averil have been offering Cherubs photography for several years now, delighting their many clients with beautiful images of their babies photographed at three intervals within their first 18 months, a time over which babies change remarkably and which time passes very quickly for parents. Cherubs Photography is available for all new babies up to 6 months old for a fantastic, value for money, one off payment of £50 (A fantastic saving of £275 on our regular studio prices). For this you will receive three photography sessions and at the end of the 3rd you receive a beautiful Folio with three images of your choice, one from each session, just like the award winning examples above.

Cherubs Photography is only available from fully qualified, full time professional photographers registered with the MPA (Master Photographer Association). Its a great chance to capture your babies first few months with beautiful professional images that will last a lifetime.

Anyone interested in registering for our Cherubs photography or interested in buying this service as a gift for a 'New Baby' or 'Christening' then give the studio a call or email us at contact@alasdairfraser.co.uk for further information.

Happy New Year

Well Christmas has come and gone, so has 2008 and it's now the middle of January 2009 and finally in 4ish years of trying I actually manage to capture a little boy peeing in the studio.

Unfortunately for me it just happened to be our son Archie!
